When you click the Templates tab, the first page you are taken to is the template table where you can start creating a new Template, Rule, or Message Template. This location is also where all of your already created Templates, Rules and Message Templates can be organized and viewed.
Template Tab Table
Once you have clicked the Templates tab you can create a Template, Rule or Message Template, provided that these are enabled in the Settings tab. These settings can be determined by you, if allowed, or by a Customer Admin within your company.
Provided that all permissions are enabled, you, the account holder can create a Template or Rule by clicking the green button “Create Template” or “Create Template or Rule”.
If enabled, you can create a Message Template by clicking “Create Message Template”.
Dropdown Menu Bar
The dropdown menu bar, located in upper right-hand corner of the body of Templates table, allows you to select specific groups of Templates, Rules and/or Message Templates.
These groups are:
All Templates: All Templates will display all Templates, Rules and Message Templates, both personal and Shared with you.
Personal Templates and Rules: Personal Templates will display all of your Templates and Rules.
Personal Message Templates: Personal Message Templates will display all of your Personal Message Templates.
Shared Templates and Rules: Shared Templates and Rules will display all templates and rules that another user within your company has shared with you. This view does not show Templates or Rules that you have shared with other users within this company.
Shared Message Templates: Shared Message Templates will display all Message Templates that another user within your company has shared with you. This view does not show Message Templates that you have shared with other users within this company.
1. To see more information for a Template or Rule click the } icon to view more information about the Template or Rule. To hide the extra information, click “” to hide the details of the Template or Rule.
2. Template table details:
a. Code: The Unique code assigned to this template.
b. Name: Name of Template, Rule or Message Template.
c. Description: Template or Rule description
d. Type: Template type (Template, Rule, Message Template)
e. Created Date: Date and time the template, rule or message template was created.
f. Link: if a static link is enabled for a template you can click the “link” symbol to generate a static link for the corresponding template. When the link icon is pressed, a pop-up appears, and provides you with a static link of the template.
g. Share: This shares a rule or template with other users within the same company account, provided this feature is enabled.
h. Edit: Click to edit the template.
i. Delete: Click to permanently delete this template.
Shared Templates and Rules (if enabled)
If the user is within a company, the Template or Rule may be shared with others in the that account.
1. Share Template/Rule setting must be enabled to share a template or rule.
2. Clicking the Share link to share the Rule with others within a customer account.
3. To add a shared a rule or template, click the Add
4. Once the shared Template or Rule has been added successfully the newly added Template, Rule, or Message Template will be copied to the Personal Templates and Rules table with a unique code. Any alternations will not affect the original version of the shared template.
