The Acknowledgement email acts as a placeholder until the Registered Receipt email is generated.
Immediately after sending an RMail message, the sender is issued an Acknowledgement email denoting their email was received at the RPost cloud. This email is the sender’s proof-of-sending and acts as proof that the message was successfully inducted into the RPost Cloud for processing.

Acknowledgement Email Features
1. It is only sent to the sender, as soon as the message is received at the RPost Cloud.
2. It is received in the sender’s inbox and not filed in the “RMail Receipts” folder.
3. The information in the Acknowledgement email is also contained in the Registered Receipt email.
4. The Message ID on the Acknowledgement email will match the Message ID on the Registered Receipt email.
5. Only the “To” and “Cc” addresses are displayed in the Acknowledgement email. Not the “Bcc” addresses
6. It is not able to be forwarded for verification like the Registered Receipt email.
7. RPost does not store a copy of the Acknowledgement Email.
Acknowledgement Email Components
The following are the components of an Acknowledgement Email:
1. The Sending Address is acknowledge@r1.rpost.net
2. The Subject is “Ack: <Your Subject>”
3. To: recipients in the sender’s “To” field
4. Cc: recipients in the sender’s “Cc” field
5. Received by RMail: timestamp in which the email was received at the RPost Cloud in both UTC and local time zones.
6. Tracking Number: a unique number assigned and used to identify a specific transaction.
7. Client Code: Senders may assign a client/reference/matter code to an RMail message by adding the code at the time of sending from the sending App. This code is documented on both the Registered Receipt email in the “Message Envelope” section and in the “Client Code” column of the usage reports. 8. Features Used: It displays which of the RMail features were used when sending the email.
