Lock Settings provides the ability for an admin to lock the individual setting of all the users or any specific user within the company. This option is controlled from the SETTINGS tab.
Lock Settings Options
The SETTINGS tab should be available for all RSign® user roles (RPost® Super Admin, RSign Support, Customer Admin, and User). If you are an end-user, you will be able to change your PERSONAL settings. If you use an Admin enabled account, you can change both COMPANY and PERSONAL settings. The Settings Tab includes settings for Admin, Sending, Template, Storage, System, E-Disclosure, Advanced, and Privacy.
This setting is available under both the COMPANY and PERSONAL tab. If you do not see the options described in this article and wish to add them, please contact your RPost sales or account manager to enable them.
- Click the SETTINGS > COMPANY
- Under the COMPANY tab, click the Sending tab on the left menu.
- Check the Lock Settings checkbox for the desired setting.
Tip: Click the top checkbox as a shortcut to highlight all the checkboxes in the column of that setting tab.
- Example (Company Level): Select the feature(s) to lock by checking the box(es) under Lock Settings.
- As an admin, click the SETTINGS tab.
- Click the Sending tab on the left menu.
- Check the Lock Settings checkbox for Date Format and Document Availability
- Click Save. The company settings are now disabled for all users.
- To verify the Lock Settings applied by admin, go to the PERSONAL tab and Click Sending tab from the left-hand menu.
Note: The settings are disabled and cannot be restored by the user at the personal level. But the admin can change the settings which are locked for the user under the company tab.
- Example (User Level): Select the feature(s) to lock by checking the box(es) under Lock Settings within a company account.
- Enter the email address (For example, Megan Greene) and click the SETTINGS tab.
- Click the Sending tab on the left menu.
- Check the Lock Settings checkbox for Date Format and Document Availability for that particular user.
- Click Save. The company settings are now disabled for that specific user only.
- To verify the Lock Settings applied by admin, go to the PERSONAL tab and Click Sending tab from the left-hand menu.
